I haven't felt much like blogging this week because we've been so worried about Saylor & we really haven't done much. Just hoping that Saylor's medication kicks in for her & she feels better.
Jason has had a great week at work getting a lot accomplished. The kids and I went into Solvang on Wednesday morning for a bit. It's a little Danish tourist Village. We got a few Danish treats to share, then walked around for a bit, went to this very fun park we like.
We have been swimming in the pool. Cautious Charlie.....even with years of swimming lessons, years at the lake, he is comfy in his life jacket or floaty, doesn't want to swim on his own, doesn't want to jump in. But he did teach himself how to snokel in the pool this week with his floaty belt on. Then on Thursday he started jumping off the steps, then the edge & pulled himself out, then the belt came off, then he did a sort of doggie paddle/frog kick to the side. He was so proud of himself, so we'll keep working on it. I always say, the kids have to be ready themselves, whether it's potty training, swimming, riding a bike (which he does down the hill but not on the street yet & next on the list).
There he goes, ready to jump!
We also went to see the movie Planes: Fire & Rescue on Thursday night. It was really cute, but a little short.
