Day 29: Home Sweet Home

August 13

Time to get back to the grind! We had about a 4.5 hour drive home from Richmond, IN. We just couldn't make that last bit on Tuesday night after driving all day.
Check out this stack of books Liky took with her. She read all but 5.

241 miles to home. We pulled in promptly at 1:00 p.m.
We were thankful to walk into a clean house, compliments of the outstanding Connie! It didn't last long. My OCD was kicking in the second I brought anything into the house. The kids were excited to be home and ran straight to their rooms. They found notes from their stuffed animals, aka, from Nana. I had flowers waiting for me on the counter, from the Nana. Lily ran around and said "is Nana hiding in a closet?"  And a couple hours later, Nana and Papa arrived for hugs and kisses.

I immediately threw a load of bedding into the laundry.  Only to find after my shower that the washing machine had leaked all over the floor, it was my m-n-l's and we're guessing it's at least 25 years old. Maybe I should be happy that it's broke. I can finally get a new one. The laundry fairy who was here during my previous two orthopedic surgeries returned and collected all that needed to be washed. It was returned folded later that night and the next morning! Aren't ai so lucky? Thanks Mama/Nana.

We have had a wonderful trip with so many memories. I am going to follow up with several more posts of "lists" from our trip!

Saylor does have an appointment with our local Vet on Thursday morning. She had a rough night, trying to vomit now as well. Really worried about her.

Cheers!
