2016: Day 11 Monterey Bay

Friday night, we drove up to Salinas/Monterey area and stayed with friends Allen & Judi. It's about 3 hours North, 190 miles.  They are both originally from Ohio, and Allen used to work with Jason at Tilton. He made a cross country trip last year with his motorhome and racecar trailer, hitting small racetracks along the way and staying with us for 10 days.

Saturday morning we were off to the
Monterey Bay Aquarium. It's a little pricey to get in $50 for adults but it is well worth it. This place is one of the best in the world and is dedicated to the research and conservation of the sea life. From jellies and tentacles, to the open ocean sea life, sea otters and penguins.

This scuba diver was feeding in the kelp forest and she was able to talk to us as she was doing it.

After we saw all that we could see, we had a late lunch at the Fish House on Canery Row. Our table was right at the windows so we could watch the kayaks and sea life.

Lily and I were totally twinning and didn't even mean too. We had in jeans that were cuffed, brown sandals, army green jackets❤️❤️❤️

We headed back to camp that night, but not before we grabbed a bite to eat at In & Out Burger. Simple and easy menus with only a half a dozen items....and a secret menu! And a single cheeseburger is only $2.55! Lily would give anything too pen one in Ohio!
