Our second scheduled day in Glacier National Park rained the entire day.
The sprinkles lightened up as we took a long drive North to the off-the grid town of Polebridge within the national park. This little town is just 14 miles from the Canadian border. Polebridge is pretty close to being what you think of an Alaskan town. There are a few cabins & tents that surround a general store, run off solar panels and a generator.
They have a yummy bakery in the store that sells huckleberry bear claws. Delish!! I'm gonna have to track a recipe down.
Lily was looking for a bear!
The rain didn't stop us from taking a walk to see the beautiful cedars and black cottonwoods of the park. This cottonwood swallowed by babies!
Pure beauty!
We headed back to the campground and stopped for provisions at the store since we will be leaving on Friday. I put a pork roast in the crockpot before we left, and was so thankful when we returned to have dinner ready!
