The first two days we have a lot of driving to do. We were able to it today's drive time down by leaving last night. Jason has done great driving the RV. We left the Walmart Parking lot around 7 a.m.We went through Chicago today around 10 a.m. and it was regular traffic nothing too major, which we were happy about. Laurie H: I gave a shot out to your home town for you as we drove through;)
We stopped about two hours south of the Wisconsin Dells to have lunch, stretch our legs & let Saylor out. We actually just went into a movie theater parking lot. Saylor is not doing well. We (I mean Jason when I say "We") has to carry her down the RV steps & I coax her. We have a ramp made for her for the the long term stops, which I am hoping makes it easier for her. Tonight I walked her & she fell several times. Back legs just totally have out. She's been very healthy & at 12.5 year old, her arthritis in the back legs is getting worse by the week. Makes me want to cry.
The tolls, the tolls, the tolls! Between Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, & Wisconsin we shelled out $80 for four axils! Geez!
We are staying at a pretty janky campground just North of the Wisconsin Dells but it will due for one night. We (this time I do me "We") were able to enjoy a cold beer by the pool with the kids for an hour, have dinner, shower, & the kids are asleep by 7:34 p.m. Central/8:34 Eastern. That's what happens with a 6:15 wake up.
Miles driven: 342
States: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin
