After a beautiful 2 days in Bar Harbor, Freightliner had this giant tow truck to tow us an hour west to a service center. This good ole' guy got out of his truck and hooked us up. Only put our flasher lights on to tow it. We packed up the jeep with food for the day, change of clothes, Llewsie & kennel, the hermit crabs, and kiddos....we followed the tow truck on the highway. Talk about anxiety level being sky high. We messed around in the little town for a couple hours, found a park for the kids and had a picnic, took Llewsie to a dog park. We sat around a read our books for a couple hours. By 6 pm, Freightliner had us back on the road and we were able to join our friends at Wells Beach.
This campground was across the street from the shore. Very well kept campground and clean. Each site had a campfire ring, as you can see below.
We spent a day driving around Kennebunkport. I just love the New England houses. Saw some amazing and huge old houses. Even saw the Bush Estate.
The LL Bean flagship stores were just up the road as well. They have a store for everything! We really enjoyed Maine, all the fresh seafood, and beautiful scenery.
