Day 10 ...and again

July 25

I am happy to report that Saylor was able to get up and walk around fine on her own today. Must have been the motion of moving so much and being stuff all day. We had another looooong day on the road to reach our California destination. We drove through Las Vegas, admired the strip from I-15, told Lily all about the fancy hotels, but said it wasn't a place for kids;( Jason and I were on Vegas the January right before we were married. He used to go every year for a big trade show, but hasn't been for years.  The only traffic we've hit this whole trip other than Chicago was in Santa Barbara yesterday. We avoided L.A. And took a route just to the North. Of course we were going through at 4:30 p.m. when everyone was getting out of L.A. for the weekend.
Sometime after 6 p.m. we checked into Flying Flags RV Resort in Buellton, CA for the next two weeks. This is the town that Jason has worked in for the last 17 years. Finally, we can set up camp for long we than two nights.  Flying Flags is large and it was packed. They have upgraded everything since we were here two years ago when we stayed in a cottage. The plan is for Jason to work at the office the next two weeks and the kids and I will hangout during the week and vacation on the weekends. They have summer school work to do, pool time, playground, brought their scooters and I'm sure we'll take a few field trips.

Yes we have palm trees at our camp site! We set up our basic camp, then walked to our favorite Taco Roco for fish tacos for dinner!

States:Utah, Arizona, Neveda, California
Time Zone: from Mountain to Pacific
